How and why we estimate

Please note that our estimates are based on the best guess at how a project will progress. The more information we have before we start, the easier it is to give you an accurate estimate.

Because of the creative nature of the projects we tackle, there will always be unknown factors. It is impossible to anticipate every possible obstacle (stepping stone), so we don’t “quote” – our estimates are based on previous work experiences, and we know that you understand the absolute necessity to be flexible.

We will do everything we can to keep close to the costs we estimate, but if that isn’t possible we’ll discuss the difficulties with you and we can negotiate a way forward together.

Sometimes, we’ll think of something extra we can do to add value to your project, and we might throw it in for free – on the other hand, we might just discuss adding it to your project, but WE PROMISE TO TALK TO YOU BEFORE ADDING ANYTHING YOU MIGHT HAVE TO PAY FOR.

There are times, during creative projects, where unanticipated changes come into play, and these can have a significant effect, not only on the time and cost taken to complete a project but also whether it is worth it to complete the task. Our aim is always to keep costs as low as possible while giving you the best value for your money.

The 50% Deposit

Because creative work is risky, we’re going to ask you for a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the estimated cost on many projects  – our time is our main resource, and because we deliver ideas and electronic files that are easy to copy we need to protect our livelihood against those people (not you) who refuse to pay even after we’ve delivered an awesome product.

Thanks for taking the time to read and understand our process – we look forward to doing great things together and helping you make lots of moolah!
